Cancer Council Australia’s mission includes helping inform the Australian public about how they can prevent and control cancer. Our messages are underpinned by the latest evidence and are promoted to the community through our communications campaigns, websites, social media and liaison with news media.
We also provide general cancer information, resources and access to cancer support. Cancer Council 13 11 20 delivers information and support to tens of thousands of individual patients, caregivers, health professionals and other Australians with cancer questions each year.
To support doctors and other health professionals we provide evidence-based advice and information about cancer treatment and control issues via our guidelines wiki, multidisciplinary journal Cancer Forum, and GP Portal.
