Girls' Night In

Cancer Council is dedicated to reducing the impact of women’s cancers in Australia through prevention, education, support and research. Breast cancer is still the most common cancer in Australian women, and there is a need for greater awareness and focus on gynaecological cancers, including ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vaginal and vulva cancers.

Girls’ Night In is a fun, simple way for women to raise funds and awareness for women’s cancer research, prevention programs and support services while getting together with friends.

Hundreds of Girls' Night In hosts across Australia organised events, big and small, throughout October. In 2016 thousands of supporting women (and a few blokes!) raised more than $2.1 million simply by enjoying a night in, and donating what they would have spent going out.

We would like to thank our 2016 celebrity ambassadors – Kylie Gillies, Katie Noonan and Lynne McGranger – as well as our corporate supporters, W. Lane and Jamberry.

We are also appreciative of Woolworths, Century 21, Curves and New Balance, who supported our Pink Ribbon campaign for women’s cancers in 2016.
